The most rewarding part of Big Day In is feedback from the participants. Lauren Shouldice said:
"On behalf of HMEF and our scholars, I would like to say a huge thank you inviting us to the Big Day In at UTS. The girls thoroughly enjoyed the conference and left with inspiration. Here is some feedback I collected from our scholars."
What was the most interesting thing you learned during the event?
Choosing different courses in University does not mean that we can not chose another pathway. People chose different courses during University but they ended up doing something related to IT or STEM
What aspects of the event did you find most engaging or enjoyable?
Stalls, audience engagement with companies and industry.
Did this event inspire any new questions or areas of interest for you?
It improved my understanding of my existing area of interest in technology.
It has inspired other pathways for me in terms of stem and how I can get there.
Also at the event, the first 2024 Women of STEM Winner was announced. Ellie Doyle from Terrigal on the NSW Central Coast received the award. Another 3 Women of STEM winners will be announced at BDI events later in the year. These Big Day In events are still open for registration.
